The Northern Golden Retriever Association Website
The Northern Golden Retriever Association’s area covers the North of England from Lincolnshire across to Cheshire and up to the Scottish Border.
We hold a Championship and Limited Obedience Breed Show usually in the Newark area in April.
We also hold an Open Breed Show which is normally held in October in the same area.
Five or six field trials including a twenty four dog Open Qualifying breed stake the winner being sent through to the Retriever Championship.
We also cater for handlers wishing to train their gundogs for working tests and field trials. This task is undertaken by the Pennine Training Area who hold training classes and working tests in the Oldham and Sheffield areas. For details click on the button.
The Association seeks to encourage the breeding of Golden Retrievers of a dual-purpose type.
